Established in 1989 by Ken Boland, Affordable Signs & Banners is an independently owned small business dedicated to providing you with the right signage to grow your business.

When Ken first envisioned starting his own sign shop, he had the simple philosophy to sell a quality product at a reasonable price while providing personalized customer service. After an initial start in his basement, using a single vinyl plotter, Ken built the company from a small two-person shop into a multifaceted business offering a vast array of signage products. 

Throughout the years, advances in technology have improved signage methodologies. Affordable Signs & Banners has grown right along with these changes. Affordable Signs & Banners currently operates out of a 6,500 square foot facility utilizing state of the art, large format printers, UV flatbed printers, CNC Routing and Laser Cutters. 

Ken recognizes that in today’s competitive business environment, fostering strong relationships with long-term employees can be pivotal for a company’s continued success and growth. He determined that Hagan van Baars, a valued employee, was the ideal candidate to continue what he started and brought him on as Partner and President. This Partnership stands as a testament to the belief that valuing and investing in employees can lead to fruitful collaborations fostering creativity among employees that benefit their customers. With two committed leaders working together, this Partnership also represents a new chapter for Affordable Signs & Banners, promising not only to enhance the company’s capabilities but also to solidify its values and mission.
